ROWdate 10-12

Hi everyone! Just a quick update today, it’s been a busy week.

The Goals

I’m still progressing at a nice pace with the NaNo project planning. Not a lot added in word count but I’m moving through story milestones and storyboarding and things are looking good.

I finished my assignment for Kristen’s class and am ready for the next one.

Hope your weeks have been good so far. Congrats to all of you that were able to find ROWbuddies this week!

Peaceful Journeys!

Okay, that was weird. I commented on your bones post, came to this post, and my bones comment is here. Strange. Too early flying out I guess. Anyway, great job on goals ROWbro.

  2. Ruth Nestvold says:

Congrats on all the progress on your goals, Gene! Keep up the good work and have a great rest of the week. πŸ™‚

  3. Great job on the goals, Gene! You sure are motivated – Kristen’s class, ROW80, and NaNo coming up. What a fabulous inspiration you are!

  4. showard76 says:

Well done, I see what you mean about being like me, too busy for much on the Wednesday updates! Look forward to seeing you Sunday one! πŸ™‚

  5. Ali Dent says:

You are working so hard. I hope the best for you this week.

  6. Wow, Gene! I agree with Tameri, you are inspiring. I thought I was busy!

Have a great weekend; I hope it brings some down time.

    Way to go!

  8. Matt says:

I come to Gene’s blog to gaze at all of the pictures of lovely ladies in his comment area.

Kidding. But seriously. *Waves at Kerry way up there at the top*

Great work with the goals, bud. Planning can be as important as the actual words (you think I planned any of this? What a disaster! XD). Keep on Rowin’ on.

And now… go go gadget generic WordPress icon!

  9. Katy bennett says:

I can’t wait to see how you get on with nano, good luck with the plotting

  10. Matt says:

Wewt! *High fives at Katy Bennett*

Another generic Spirograph person (doesn’t it make you dizzy to look in the mirror?). πŸ™‚

Okay, okay. I’ll stop trolling now. Sorry Gene.

    • Gene Lempp says:

Kerry: Thanks, ROWbro. I fixed the issue πŸ™‚

Matt: No worries, troll *grins* At least you got a pretty snowflake πŸ™‚

Ruth, Tameri, showard, Ali, Elizabeth, Heather, Juliana, Katy: Thank you all very much for your support. I can’t tell you how much having you stop by means to me, but seeing each of you perks me up in those moments when the hyperspeed schedule threatens to throw me into a wall. Thank you, thank you, thank you πŸ˜€

  11. Ha…I was just seeing Kerry’s comment…must be an issue with wordpress possibly?? Earlier I was with a friend and even though she was signed into her google account, she commented on something, and it was my profile on wordpress…?? Ha! That’ll keep everyone on their toes!

Glad you are having such success. Story planning/plotting/outlining is the topic of the next book I’m set to read in my writing development studies. I need it!

  12. Em says:

Glad things are going well with you and that your NaNo plotting is coming on well. I am terrified to start putting my plot down on paper in case I realise I don’t have one!

    Keep up the good work!

  13. Glad its going well. I changed my mind and decided to do nano after all. *grin*

  14. Lena Corazon says:

You’re on a roll as usual, Gene. Glad to hear that the storyboarding for NaNo is going well! I have a loose set of notes for my project, so hopefully sometime in the next couple of weeks I can pull things together into a more coherent outline.

Have a great rest of the week!

    • Gene Lempp says:

Nadja: Yeah WordPress had some odd glitch yesterday but it seems to have worked itself out. The concept for my NaNo project has been spinning me around a bit this week but little by little I’m pulling it together. I’m hoping that by Sunday I’ll have a structure in hand that I can turn into a useable outline.

Em: Better to find out where the plot weaknesses are now rather then 20k into NaNo, just a thought. Thanks for the comment πŸ™‚

Robin: Too cool. Once the NaNo people get done screwing up playing with author pages be sure to buddy up with me and the other ROW people. We can have our own ROWNaNo party group πŸ™‚

Lena: I’m trying the index card method this time which is new to me (usually use Excel or a piece of paper). So far it is going well and I’m finding it easier to structure the scene flow. Best of wishes to you that you are able to get your outline together before Nov 1. I have faith in you πŸ™‚

I'd love to chat with you!
